Seven Joys

The Seven Joys Carol Collection is a set of Christmas songs which may be performed as a set or individually. Scored for choir and harp, the carols may also be accompanied by piano. As characterises many compositions by Andrew Daldorph, the carols incorporate a mixture of traditional, gospel and jazz styles. The collection was first written to complement Britten's Ceremony of Carols in a Christmas concert programme, with the collection promising to become favourites within the Christmas choral repertoire.
