His oratorio, ‘Songs of Hope and Creation’, is suitable for a choir from about 40 singers through to a large choral society, and features an orchestra of 12 different parts plus soprano and tenor soloists. It reflects Andrew’s diverse musical interests, including classical, jazz and gospel movements, and was written to provide choirs with a modern and relevant score which is accessible to both singers and today’s audiences. The work draws on some traditional texts, including the Lord’s Prayer and The Grace, but also includes poetry written specifically for the piece. The Seven Joys Carol Collection’ - a set of seven carols for choir and harp (or piano) - may be performed as individual Christmas songs or as a set. They particularly complement Britten'’s Ceremony of Carols in a Christmas choral programme.

Andrew's most recent composition is ‘'A Mass for Life', a mass setting in the jazz style for choir and jazz quintet. Suitable for either liturgical or concert performance, the piece promises to be one of the most successful of its genre.
